Premier Chiropractic & Pilates now offers Barre Classes!

The Barre is a total body workout that burns fat and sculpts long lean muscles! Barre workouts are ballet-inspired workouts, first introduced by Lotte Berk in the 1970s.  Barre incorporates the fluidity of ballet, the flexibility of yoga, and the core strength of Pilates….don’t worry NO DANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!

The one hour class includes a small group of props, light weights  (3-5 lbs are usually recommended), or weighted balls, sponge ball, resistance bands and a mat.

The Barre class is a low impact yet challenging workout designed to create longer, leaner muscles, increased cardio stamina, lift your seat (glutes) build stronger abs, improve your posture, define lean arms and improve flexibility.  Barre emphasizes muscular endurance, isometric holds, pulses and stretching.  The end result is a long and lean physique…without added bulk.

If you have ever taken a pilates or yoga class, you know how difficult it is to hold one of the standard positions even for a short amount of time. The barre workout takes these poses, but instead of just standing, lying or sitting, you support your entire body weight using the ballet barre.
